CHRISTINA GALLAGHER
Investigation of Mrs. Christina Gallagher, Ireland’s Seer
Phillip J. Kronzer flew to Ireland to meet with Network 5 International. They went to verify and follow up on the news that so-called stigmatist and seer Christian Gallagher had closed down her house of prayer and went into seclusion.
Gallagher claims to have first seen the Virgin Mary in 1988 at a time when she couldn’t read or write. At the time she only wanted to be able to buy a washing machine. Her husband was a plumber. We say he was because they don’t seem to be living together anymore. Photos have been taken of a claimed stigmata on her hands and feet. Marks have been claimed on her back and head. In 1991 Gallagher said Our Lady told her to open a house of prayer on the Island of Achill [Achilles heel?] in the far west of Ireland. Anonymous donors helped her buy a former convent. Close to a million tourists have poured through the door of this house of prayer. The bishop was at first in support of her. The Medjugorje Marian Centers throughout the world picked up on her story and wed her to the rest of the hundreds of seers in their portfolios.
In time, however, Archbishop Michael Neary? investigated and declared no evidence of miracles or of the supernatural. He did, nonetheless, allow the House of Prayer to continue. Fruits were good in terms of prayer and money for the Island. Katherine McHugh, a local on the Island said, "Personally I don’t believe in such things, but whether Christina Gallagher really does work miracles doesn’t matter to most of us on this island. She has saved the island from dying. She has brought us jobs where they never existed and to us locals that’s all that matters.
Then the Archbishop launched another investigation into the finances of the House of Prayer. The minute he asked for an accounting of the money, Christina Gallagher closed the House of Prayer down, and went into hiding. This is why Phil Kronzer and Network 5 International went to the island. What they found is that Christina Gallagher lives thirty miles away from the former House of Prayer in a seven bedroom mansion with ten foot walls all around the property. She has security cameras on the walls and security devices on the grounds. [This mansion was filmed for Network 5’s next film.] She doesn’t live with her husband, who lives in a modest home. This home was also filmed, along with a conversation with the husband. Her closest neighbors haven’t met her and never see her, except when driving her black Audi through the security gates.
Investigation and interviews with the locals in the near by towns say that Gallagher has been frequenting late night bars with numerous men, not her husband. They say she has expensive taste for imported Italian clothes and jewelry.
The Irish Times estimated that $850,000 poured into the little town every year since Gallagher made her claims along with 15,000 pilgrims visiting the House of Prayer. Why then did she close the House of Prayer down so suddenly July 9th of this year?
The Archbishop’s secretary, Father Brendan Kiilcoyne, said that the Archbishop was trying to bring the house of prayer closer to the structures of the Church. On December 16, 1997 he had found no evidence of the supernatural, but allowed the house to remain open. He asked that a private association be established to deal with the disposition of funds, but suspended confessions and sermons at the House starting in January of 1998.
Rather than comply with the Archbishop’s demand for control of the funds, Gallagher simply closed the House down and went into hiding. Rev. Dr. Gerard McGinnity, her former spiritual director, continues to support her, although we don’t know if he still has contact with her. Network 5 International and Phil Kronzer were able to interview Father Michael O’Carroll, the spiritual director of the Vatican condemned Vassula Ryden and a supporter of Christina Gallagher. The Network 5 crew located Fr. Michael O’Carroll in Dublin, Ireland. It was late afternoon on August 18th.
Father Escorted then into a small waiting room were he began to speak at length about Vassula, Christina, Bishop Hnilica, Theresa Lopez, Father Gerald McGinnity, Cardinal Ratzinger, and the Holy Father. Kronzer asked him about all of the above. His answers were all on camera. [Next film!]
Fr. O’Carroll said that Father McGinnity (SD of Christina Gallagher) was a very dear friend of his. He said that he and Father McGinnity had met on several occasions and spent a great deal of time together in Medjugorje beginning around 1984. Father O’Carroll said he never met Gallagher but that he knew she was authentic because of what Fr. McGinnity had told him and that her messages all are compatible with the messages of Medjugorje and Vassula’s. He said that he supported them both as well as Theresa Lopez because they all had messages that corresponded to Medjugorje and all were the fulfillment of Fatima. He said that Lopez visited him and he knew for certain that she was authentic. He said that Hnilica had gone to Russia in 1984 to do the consecration to Mary and that he did it hiding behind a newspaper in the Church and that when he reported this incident to the Holy Father upon his return the Holy Father broke into tears and they spoke a length to each other about Medjugorje and the fact that it was the fulfillment of Fatima.
He also made reference to the document that has been circulated worldwide since late May of 1998 allegedly by Archbishop Taroisio Bertone, Secretary of the Congregation of the Faith. This letter is said to have been sent to Bishop Gilbert Aubry of Saint-Denis de la Reunion. He said a bishop in the Indian Ocean would set the record straight.
He spoke at length about the Holy Father and his positive statements concerning Medjugorje and that the Vatican has them under investigation under the direction of Cardinal Ratzinger. He quoted numerous statements concerning Medjugorje and even threw in a little of Father Gobbi. He approved of all of them.
It will be interesting to hear the Vatican’s statement once they review this film footage.
Gallagher’s Lawyer, Mr. Donald J. Corrigan was also interviewed. He has threatened legal action against Network 5 International if they publish an article of a defamatory nature which would injure Gallagher’s reputation, "court proceedings will be issued against you, in the USA or UK as is deemed appropriate." Network 5 responded by asking that the legal action begin right away.
Today, September 1st, 1998, Phil Kronzer left again for England. Proof (real proof) has made it’s way to England that will show that all the claims of Medjugorje are false. This proof is overwhelming and will be added to the third film. Were the Kronzers, in fact, set-up when Christina Gallagher and Vassula Ryden were sent to stay in their home in addition to author, Michael Brown, the apparition guru?
Well! The Kingdom of the Divine Will has been ordered to quit promotion in the United States. Father Gobbi’s claims that the real person of the antichrist will appear this year, will end him once and for all. Christina Gallagher has quit. Scottsdale is all but finished. Garabandal has been condemned for the seventh and final time. Vassula Ryden was condemned by the Vatican and banned from speaking in Catholic Churches worldwide. Connors, Georgia has become a New Age Cult. Medjugorje is about to be infamous history.
When it is, Unity Publishing Inc. will be able to go back to working for the prayer of Christ in Chapter 17 of John, "That they all be one in truth." This involves teaching the truth and promoting true apparitions. Pray we can do this soon before time runs out. If we fail - God will accomplish it, but we won’t like how He does it. Wish Phil Kronzer happy truth-hunting in England.
