Does Our Lady Love America?

Richard Salbato 9-16-2008

I am not sure God, and therefore Our Lady, supports any government.  Perhaps, however, when we look at history we will see that God does support Nations that treat His people and His Church well, in peace and security.

In fact, in support of governments that treat His people well God has supported wars and even the overthrow of governments.

When the pro-Catholic Emperor of Rome, Constantine, went to war to unify Rome, Our Lord appeared in the sky to him and told him to make his banner the Crucifix.  With this banner he defeated all his enemies and gave peace to the Church for a thousand years.

Years later the Moslems overran the Middle East and the West went in to free Christians from the persecution of the Moslems and again received the help of God.

When the Moors overran Spain and pushed Christians to the far North of the Iberian Peninsula, Our Lady appeared and offered Her help to a Knight, who would later become the first King of the new Nation of Portugal.

When Christians could not compete with the Moors in Spain, God sent a woman, Queen Isabel of Spain, to drive the Moors out of Spain, France and even Italy.

When the Spanish in Mexico were about to wiped out by the Indians Our Lady came to convert the Indians with the miracle of Guadalupe.

When the Moslems were about to make a final attack on Europe with the largest marine fleet in history, Don Juan, took images of Our Lady of Guadalupe and put them on each of his ships. He had his sailors pray the rosary before the battle.  Outnumbered 100 to 1, he defeated the Moslems in what would be the final battle to save Europe.

When England invaded the Catholic Nation of France, Our Lady sent Joan of Ark into war to free France from the aggressor.

When the Philippine people, led by Cardinal Sin, challenged the dictator of many years, they prayed the rosary everyday for months and overthrew the oppressive corrupt government and became a Democracy.

When the Pope and the bishops of the world consecrated the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, communism was defeated in Russia, the Berlin Wall came down, and 87 dictatorships became Democracies in only 8 years.

When Nicaragua was communist, Our Lady appeared to a poor sacristan, and within a few years communism was overthrown by a woman in an election.

When Venezuela threatened to go to war with Democratic Columbia, the president, his house and congress with the help of bishops, consecrated Columbia to Our Lady, the war was suddenly averted.

As you can see by the above (and this does not include the bible wars) Our Lord and Lady does come to the aid of countries and sometimes uses war to protect them.

What then about America?  What does God think about this nation?  Everyone out there will send me emails about how corrupt our government is and how immoral our people are.  That does not hold water with me, because I have been in 32 other countries and know the governments and the people.  People are good and bad all over the world but the people of America are by far the best in the world if you look at the whole and not at individuals.

What then have Catholics in America done in support of our country?  At the constitutional convention there was only one Catholic, however he was the last to die and was the only survivor of those who signed before he died.

As I said in my last Newsletter, it was a Catholic Bishop who first fought against and integrated blacks in whites in his schools.

When the first official Diocese of the Catholic Church in America was set up, the Church asked the government what arrangements it had to make with the government.  To the surprise of the Church, the government answered that what the Church did was not of its business.  For the first time in history, the Church was free to do whatsoever it wanted with out government interference.

On May 16, 1920  the same day that Pope Benedict XV canonized the "Maid of Orleans," Joan of Arc, at St. Peter's in Vatican City,  Archbishop Giovanni Vincenzo Bonzano blessed the site designated for the National Shrine to the Immaculate Conception and in the same ceremony where he consecrated America to the Immaculate Conception, he blessed a statue of Joan of Arc, celebrating simultaneously with solemn ecclesiastical ceremonies at Rome the official canonization of the Maid of Orleans. That makes America belong to Our Lady and protected by Her and Saint Joan of Arc.

Dedication America to the Immaculate Conception must have pleased God, because the year after the ceremonies opening the new National Basilica shrine in Washington, D.C. to the Immaculate Conception, Our Lady appeared to Sister Mildred Ephrem.

Our Lady indicated that She was pleased with the United States having recognized Her Immaculate Conception and honoring Her with the National Basilica shrine, and therefore would bless America with a new title to Her, Our Lady of America.

Our Lady went on to say that She wanted from American their purity of heart and support of family life.  She promised to not only protect America but use America to save the world.

What then are we doing to make America pure of heart and support families?  In my last Newsletter, Are You Catholic? Are You Sure? , I lambasted Bishops, priests and Catholics for their support of pro-abortion candidates.  I do not apologize for this slander, because the facts can be proved and I personally talked to the victims of my investigations. The past support of Catholics for Communist-Socialist-Mason is well documented and cannot be refuted.

However, I follow up with this article because there are now some new bishops and new priests who are doing wonderful, courageous, moral and manly things. But just in case I get emails saying that I was to hard on bishops, I remind you of the moral law of slander.

Throughout the history of the Church, great saint and Popes have had to publicly reprimand Christians because they were harming the faith and morals of the people. When people publicly cause people to loose, doubt or change true faith, we must defend faith. When people publicly cause people to change of doubt the moral law, we must publicly defend morals.  When souls are at risk, we must not remain silent.

Most recently I had a chance to read a letter by a bishop, who publicly slandered three woman and threatened one man.  Since I happen to know this entire situation much better than this bishop, I want to say that he violated Bible Law, Canon Law, moral Law and the law of love.

He violated Bible Law, because in Matthew 18:15-18 commands us to follow the three steps of 1. talking first to the people we think have offended us or someone else. 2. Then open this talk with a group of elders. 3. Then take it to the Church for the Canonical Reprimand, which is well spelled out in law.  However, this bishop slandered these three woman without having ever met them face to face and without ever have asked there side of the story.  He then did not even wait for a response but published this letter on the internet, having never had any personal knowledge of the situation, having no legal jurisdiction, and no justification for this.

I know why it was done, because he was supporting people who were wealthy and heavy contributors to his favorite causes, whereas the women involved were helpless and poor.  I will leave this at that for now, but this bishop has not heard the last from me.  When I finish the investigation I am doing, he will publicly apologize for this sin against love and Church law.

We are at the crossroads right now

I believe we are in the last days of making this God’s country or Satan’s country.  Because of Roe vs. Wade, One Trillion, 1,000,000,000 innocent babies have been killed throughout the world, and this started in America.  If Catholics think the war in Iraqi or Immigration, or health care, or the economy or government hand outs is more important than this, I not only feel sorry for their souls, but feel sorry for Our Lady, who experienced the slaughter of the Holy Innocents and wants to protect this nation and make us pure.

But lest you think other issues are more important or equal in importance, I say that you are just not educated in the issues as you should be. I wanted to say stupid but I am trying to be nice.  Let us start with a very well educated black man who knows the history of Democrats and Republicans.

Democrats or Republicans

Do you know that Democrats opposed the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments to the Constitution — abolishing slavery, granting citizenship rights to newly freed slaves, and guaranteeing the right to vote to blacks, respectively?

Do you know that most of the politicians who stood for segregation were Southern Democrats? Do you know that the Ku Klux Klan was founded by Democrats, one of whose goals was to stop the spread of the Republican Party? Do you know that, as a percentage of the party, more Republicans than Democrats voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964?

Do you know that inner-city parents want vouchers — the right to determine where their children go to school? Do you know most Democrats, including Barack Obama, oppose this? Republicans, for the most part, support vouchers. Where vouchers have been tried, kids appear to perform better, with higher parental satisfaction. You tell me, how many things are more important than a child's education?

Do you know that 36 percent of babies aborted are black, while blacks make up 17 percent of live births? Do you know that polls show blacks are more pro-life than are whites? Yet the Democratic Party — to which over 90 percent of blacks belong — is the party of Roe v. Wade, requiring states to legalize abortion on demand.

Do you know that Margaret Sanger, the founder of the organization that became Planned Parenthood, believed that poor blacks were inferior and that aborting their babies made our society better? Look it up.

Do you know that blacks stand to benefit more than whites through Social Security privatization, a position opposed by Obama but supported by McCain? Are you even familiar with the issue and what a powerful income-generating vehicle it would be for blacks? If not, take a look at the research done by the libertarian think tank Cato Institute and the conservative think tank Heritage Foundation.

Porous borders enable illegal aliens to enter our country and threaten the jobs and lower the wages of Americans, many of whom are unskilled people of color. Which party is more determined to deal with this — Republicans or Democrats? Obama called the foes of the House anti-illegal immigration bill "ugly and racist." I did not support the bill, but vehemently object to characterizing those who did as "ugly and racist."

You speak of policies that have "proven not to work." What about the "war on poverty" that began in the '60s, the policies that Obama and his party want to continue and expand? Do you know that today 70 percent of black children and over 50 percent of Hispanics are born outside of wedlock? The welfare state — which Democrats want to expand — has played a huge role in discouraging marriage and destabilizing families.

Speaking of helping the "underprivileged," I'd suggest you read a book called "Who Really Cares," by Arthur C. Brooks. A non-Republican professor raised by Democrats, he examined the charitable spending habits of Democrats and Republicans. The results surprised him. Brooks found that Republicans give far more of their money and time for charitable purposes than do Democrats. And the giving is not confined to their churches or other houses of worship. This, by the way, has nothing to do with income. Poor Republicans give more than poor Democrats.

Compassion is not about making people dependent on government. Compassion is about encouraging personal responsibility, and getting people to understand that life is about making choices. Poverty does not cause crime. Crime causes poverty. Poverty does not cause a child to have a child. A child having a child causes poverty. Finishing high school is a choice. Not joining a gang is a choice. Not having a child until you have the maturity and the means to raise that child is a choice.

You ask how can a "fellow black American feel this way"? Quite a statement. You may disagree, but it doesn't make me less caring and compassionate than you are. I'm sure you truly consider yourself open-minded and tolerant, but based on your letter, tolerance ends — especially with "fellow black Americans" — if someone has an opposing point of view.

Obama reminds me of a turtle on a pole.  We know he could not get up there himself.  We don’t know who put him there.  We know someone powerful had to do it and he cannot get down without that powerful persons help.

History of Unforeseen Consequences

Remember how suppressed workers were before unions came along?  The unions leveled the playing field.  Unfortunately, over a long period of time the pendulum swung too far. Slowly, businesses and factories closed and jobs left the country.  We were comfortable and didn't see the change coming.  We blamed everyone except ourselves for what happened.  We weren't alert to how slow things change over time.

World War II, and the Korean War, demonstrated how powerful a united nation could be.  Our nation, and our families, were united.  The father was the head of the family and the President was the head of the nation.  Both were highly respected.  We were content and happy.

We were good at fighting a hot war but we were unprepared to fight a cold war with the communists in the 50's. They knew they couldn't change us but they didn't care.  Their
philosophy was to wait it out and capture the minds of our children.  They loaded our colleges with many of their professors and waited.  It didn't take long to see the results.

The 60''s ushered in the radicals, drug culture, student protesters, and the Vietnam War.  The
aim of the cold war was to divide and conquer. They divided our families and the nation.  The secret to defeating a polite and respectful people is to scream.  The louder and longer you scream the better your chance of winning.  Radicals are masters at this form of attack.  They know if you constantly scream and repeat a lie it will eventually become the truth.

The media, and Hollywood, hammered us with hate America themes and stories.  Our service men, and women, were jeered, cursed, and spit on.  Even the people, who latter wanted to become their President, thrashed them.  We lost our first War in history.  There was no hero's homecoming  for our fighting men and women.

The Reverend King, who was raised in the old school, peacefully changed the race issue and united the  people.  When he died the new breed of leaders like the Jesse Jackson's, Lewis Farakon's, Al Sharpton's, and Rev. Wright's put a lid on his efforts and turned racism into a money making machine.

Corporations were green-mailed by threats of protests, product boycotts, or endless lawsuits.  Every issue, large or small, became a race issue.  The public recoiled in fear of being called a racist.  Their voices were silenced because one word could cost you a career, get you fired, or get you sued.

Even politicians buckled under to the pressure.  The Florida legislature issued a formal apology for having slavery 200 years ago.  They were thanked by being asked for compensation.  There is no end in sight for this kind of nonsense.  America didn't capture slaves and bring them to
America. Their own people sold them to slave traders from several nations.  This knowledge doesn't stop the screamers.  History is what it is and you can't change it.  There have been many tragic events in history.  You acknowledge them and move on.

They divided our nation into two separate Americas.  We now have Americans, and African-Americans, although Africa has nothing to do with being an American.  You can be one or the other but not both.  You are what you were born to be.  You do not subordinate our country to any foreign nation.  It's equivalent to flying the African flag above the Stars and Stripes. If you hyphenate two countries America always comes first.

This election year could be the turning point in our history because the frog theory has come into play. It's time to step back and look at how the country has slowly changed since the cold war started.  Don't get caught up in all the hype.

George McGovern was the first Presidential candidate to test the waters with college students.  The Clinton's played a big role in his campaign.  It was the worst campaign ever run.  He was crushed in the election.

Step two was to infiltrate all the information vehicles such as radio, newspapers, magazines, TV and movies.  They were quite successful at that. Jimmy Carter was the first President to demonstrate the leadership skills of the far left.  Weak military, high taxes, runaway inflation, 19% mortgage rates, and plain incompetence ended his career in Washington.  Iran, a small country at the time, took American hostages and kicked sand in our face.  By negotiating from weakness Carter could not get the hostages released.

The big benefit of the Carter years is that they were followed by the Reagan years.  The nation got a clear look at the difference between a weak nation and a strong nation.  Every student should know this difference.  When Ronald Reagan took over the hostages were quickly released, taxes were lowered, inflation dropped, mortgage rates dropped, and the military was strengthened. Russia quickly waved the white flag and waited for another Democrat term.

Clinton took over Carters uncompleted social programs.  He weakened the military and tried to pass large government programs.  An Intern derailed his Presidency.  While he was tied up with his personal problems his lawyers ran the country.  He passed up three opportunities to take out Osama Bin Laden.  This eventually cost us the loss of our Twin Towers, thousands of American lives, and got us involved in a war with Iraq.

By the end of his term the left had captured a large share of the media and it flexed its muscle in
2000.  The hate Bush campaign got off to a roaring start. The brainwashing theory of repeating the same story over and over again was launched.

There were endless stories about our evil nation and its President.  Top-secret plans were leaked to the press and printed for the entire world to see. Hollywood cranked out documentaries about the evil Bush administration and our evil military.  They laid the groundwork for the next election.  The ACLU flooded the courts with lawsuits and the Democrat party became a law firm.  Almost every incumbent, or his or her spouse, is a lawyer.

They now have the perfect candidate because they can squash criticism by playing the race card. If you don't like Obama, or criticize him, you are a racist.  They can hide his inexperience and background by turning him into a rock star and singing change and hope.  They don't tell us what kind of change, or how it will be done, only that you should hope for the best.  By keeping the hype going they don't have to put anything of substance on the table.

The only thing we really know about Obama is that his wife has never been proud to be an American.  They want us to believe that his liberal college professors, Rev. Pfleger, his ties to radicals Bill Ayer and Lewis Farakon, and listening to the Rev. Wright's hate talks for 20 years, had no influence on his thinking.  If they didn't, then who did?  He wasn't in business and didn't see fit to serve his country.  These people launched his political career and their organizations received earmarks in return for their campaign donations and political help. They must have had some influence.  Rev. Wright's church received over $15 million.  That's only one small local church. Think on a national scale.

The change being promoted is a change back to the Carter years.  It started in 2006 when the lawyer party took over.  There have been endless lawsuits and investigations in retaliation for the Clinton years.  It keeps the lawyers busy but does nothing for the economy.  The economy has been in a downward spiral since they took over.

Returning to the Carter years of high taxes, high inflation, and a weak military is not the change we are looking for.  We cannot cower to a bunch of crazies whose only goal in life is to kill us.

The old sage's (over 50) will have to play a big role in this election.  The young people simply don't know what the aged know.  The advantage of aging is the knowledge you accumulated.  You know what United States means.  You know what the seldom-heard word respect means.  You know how wonderful freedom and independence is.  You know the difference between
a strong and a weak nation; and you know what it takes to keep it strong.  You know history because you have lived it.

Although the old guard is dying off, and getting too tired to fight, they have to muster one more charge.  If they don't, our children, and grandchildren, will never know the joy and freedom that is the bedrock of our country.  The heat is slowly being turned up and the water is getting hot.  The old frogs better start jumping before it's too late.

Is this the reason   the Church has the problems it is facing today!!!!

Is 4000 dead in the war more important than a Trillion babies Killed?

Middle East Imperative
by: James Cash, Brigadier General, USAF, Retired

I wrote recently about the war in Iraq and the larger war against radical Islam, eliciting a number of responses. Let me try and put this conflict in proper perspective.

Understand; the current battle we are engaged in is much bigger than just Iraq. What happens in the next year will affect this country and how our kids and grand kids live throughout their lifetime, and beyond. Radical Islam has been attacking the West since the seventh century. They have been defeated in the past and decimated to the point of taking hundreds of years to recover. But they can never be totally defeated. Their birth rates are so far beyond civilized world rates, that in time they recover and attempt to dominate again.

There are eight terror-sponsoring countries that make up the grand threat to the West. Two, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan just need firm pressure from the West to make major reforms. They need to decide who they are really going to support and commit to that support.

That answer is simple. They both will support who they think will hang in there until the end, and win.

We are not sending very good signals in that direction right now, thanks to the Democrats.

The other six, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, North Korea and Libya will require regime change or a major policy shift. Now, let's look more closely.

Afghanistan and Iraq have both had regime changes, but are being fueled by outsiders from Syria and Iran. We have scared Gaddafi's pants off, and he has given up his quest for nuclear weapons, so I don't think Libya is now a threat.

North Korea (the non-Islamic threat) can be handled diplomatically by buying them off. They are starving. That leaves Syria and Iran. Syria is like a frightened puppy. Without the support of Iran they will join the stronger side. So where does that leave us? Sooner, or later, we are going to be forced to confront Iran, and it better be before they gain nuclear capability.

In 1989 I served as a Command Director inside the Cheyenne Mountain complex located in Colorado Springs, Colorado for almost three years. My job there was to observe (through classified means) every missile shot anywhere in the world and assess if it was a threat to the US or Canada. If any shot was threatening to either nation I had only minutes to advise the President, as he had only minutes to respond.

I watched Iran and Iraq shoot missiles at each other every day, and all day long, for months. They killed hundreds of thousands of their people. Know why? They were fighting for control of the Middle East and that enormous oil supply.

At that time, they were preoccupied with their internal problems and could care less about toppling the west. Oil prices were fairly stable and we could not see an immediate threat.

Well, the worst part of what we have done as a nation in Iraq is to do away with the military capability of one of those nations. Now, Iran has a clear field to dominate the Middle East, since Iraq is no longer a threat to them.

They have turned their attention to the only other threat to their dominance, they are convinced they will win, because the US is so divided, and the Democrats (who now control Congress and may control the Presidency in 2008) have openly said we are pulling out.

Do you have any idea what will happen if the entire Middle East turns their support to Iran, which they will obviously do if we pull out? It is not the price of oil we will have to worry about. Oil WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE to this country at any price. I personally would vote for any presidential candidate who did what JFK did with the space program---declare a goal to bring this country to total energy independence in a decade.

Yes, it is about oil. The economy in this country will totally die if that Middle East supply is cut off right now. It will not be a recession. It will be a depression that will make 1929 look like the "good-old-days". The bottom line here is simple. If Iran is forced to fall in line, the fighting in Iraq will end over night, and the nightmare will be over.

One way or another, Iran must be forced to join modern times and the global community. It may mean a real war---if so, now is the time, before we face a nuclear Iran with the capacity to destroy Israel and begin a new ice age.

I urge you to read the book "END GAME" by two of our best Middle East experts, true American patriots and retired military generals, Paul Vallely and Tom McInerney. They are our finest, and totally honest in their assessment of why victory in the Middle East is so important, and how it can be won. Proceeds for the book go directly to memorial fund for our fallen soldiers who served the country during the war on terror. You can find that book by going to the Internet through Stand-up America

athttp://www.ospreyradio.us/!,http://www.ospreyradio.us/orhttp://www.rightalk.com/,http://www.rightalk.com/.

On the other hand, we have several very angry retired generals today, who evidently have not achieved their lofty goals, and insist on ranting and raving about the war. They are wrong, and doing the country great harm by giving a certain political party reason to use them as experts to back their anti-war claims.

You may be one of those who believe nothing could ever be terrible enough to support our going to war. If that is the case I should stop here, as that level of thinking approaches mental disability in this day and age. It is right up there with alien abductions and high altitude seeding through government aircraft contrails. I helped produced those contrails for almost 30 years, and I can assure you we were not seeding the atmosphere. The human race is a war-like population, and if a country is not willing to protect itself, it deserves the consequences.

'Enough - said!'

Now, my last comments will get to the nerve. They will be on politics.

I am not a Republican. And, George Bush has made enough mistakes as President to insure my feelings about that for the rest of my life. However, the Democratic Party has moved so far left, they have made me support those farther to the right.

I am a conservative who totally supports the Constitution of this country. The only difference between the United States and the South American, third world, dictator infested and ever-changing South American governments, is our US Constitution.

This Republic (note I did not say Democracy) is the longest standing the world has ever known, but it is vulnerable. It would take so little to change it through economic upheaval. There was a time when politicians could disagree, but still work together. We are past that time, and that is the initial step toward the downfall of our form of government.

I think that many view Bush-hating as payback time. The Republicans hated the Clinton 's and now the Democrats hate Bush.

So, both parties are putting their hate toward willingness to do anything for political dominance to include lying and always taking the opposite stand just for the sake of being opposed. JUST HOW GOOD IS THAT FOR OUR COUNTRY?

In my lifetime, after serving in uniform for President's Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan , and Bush I have a pretty good feel for which party supported our military, and what military life was like under each of their terms. And, let me assure you that times were best under the Republicans.

Service under Jimmy Carter was devastating for all branches of the military. And, Ronald Regan was truly a salvation.

You can choose to listen to enriched newscasters, and foolish people like John Murtha (he is no war hero), Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, Michael Moore, Jane Fonda, Harry Reid, Russ Feingold, Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, and on-and-on to include the true fools in Hollywood if you like. If you do, your conclusions will be totally wrong.

The reason that I write, appear on radio talk shows, and do everything I can to denounce those people is simple. THEY ARE PUTTING THEIR THIRST FOR POLITICAL POWER AND QUEST FOR VICTORY IN 2008 ABOVE WHAT IS BEST FOR THIS COUNTRY. I cannot abide that.

Pelosi clearly defied the Logan Act by going to Syria, which should have lead to imprisonment of three years and a heavy fine.

Jane Fonda did more to prolong the Vietnam War than any other human being (as acknowledged by Ho Chi Minh in his writing before he died). She truly should have been indicted for treason, along with her radical husband, Tom Hayden, and forced to pay the consequences.

This country has started to soften by not enforcing its laws, which is another indication of a Republic about to fall.

All Democrats, along with the Hollywood elite, are sending us headlong into a total defeat in the Middle East, which will finally give Iran total dominance in the region. A lack of oil in the near future will be the final straw that dooms this Republic.

However, if we refuse to let this happen and really get serious about an energy self-sufficiency program, this can be avoided. I am afraid, however, that we are going in the opposite direction.

If we elect Hillary Clinton and a Democrat controlled congress, and they carry through with allowing Iran to take control of the Middle East, continue to refuse development of nuclear energy, refuse to allow drilling for new oil, and continue to do nothing but oppose everything Bush, it will be over in terms of what we view as the good life in the USA.

Now, do I think that all who do not support the war are un-American--- of course not. They just do not understand the importance of total victory in that region.

Another failure of George Bush is his inability to explain to the American people why we are there, and why we MUST win.

By the way, it is not a war. The war was won four years ago. It is martial law that is under attack by Iranian and Syrian outside influences, and there is a difference.

So, what do I believe? What is the bottom line? I will simply say that the Democratic Party has fielded the foulest, power hungry, anti-country, self absorbed group of individuals that I have observed in my lifetime. Our educational system is partially to blame for allowing the mass of America to be taken in by this group. George Bush has done the best he can with the disabilities that he possesses.

A President must communicate with the people. And, I would tell you that Desert Storm spoiled the people. Bush Senior's 100-hour war convinced the people that technology has progressed to the point that wars could be fought with no casualties and won in very short periods of time.

I remember feeling at the time, that this was a tragedy for the US military. To win wars, you must put boots on the ground. When you put boots on the ground, soldiers are going to die. A President must make the war decision wisely, and insure that the cause is right before using his last political option.

HOWEVER, CONTROLLING IRAN AND DEMOCRATIZING THE MIDDLE EAST IS THE ONLY CHOICE IF WE ARE HELL BENT ON DEPENDING ON THEM FOR OUR FUTURE ENERGY NEEDS.

If you think Guns Kill more people than Abortion.

From: Ed Chenel, A police officer in Australia

Hi Yanks, I thought you all would like to see the real figures from Down Under.  It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by a new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by our own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars.

The first year results are now in: Australia-wide, homicides are up 6.2 percent, Australia-wide, assaults are up 9.6 percent; Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)! In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. (Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not and criminals still possess their guns!) While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since the criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.  There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the elderly, while the resident is at home. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in 'successfully ridding Australian society of guns.' You won't see this on the American evening news or hear your governor or members of the State Assembly disseminating this information.  The Australian experience speaks for itself. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws affect only the law-abiding citizens.  Take note Americans, before it's too late!

Hate President Bush more than Abortions?

Four years ago the election was very close and after the Florida Primary no one knew who had won the election. The outcome went to the Supreme Court for a final outcome.  While the world and President Bush waited for the ruling of the courts, Jeb Bush and his wife went to Mexico and prayed to Our Lady of Guadalupe for his brother to win the election.

The Supreme Court finally ruled on the outcome of the elections. They announced that President Bush had won.  This ruling was on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the feast of the Immaculate Conception.  A few months later we were attacked on 9-11 and I thank Our Lady that we had the right man at the right time for this crisis.
