Are You Catholic?  Are You Sure?

Richard Salbato – September 15, 2008

Email this to your Bishop and Diocesan Paper:

According to Catholic Doctrine, you are a Catholic by holding to essential Catholic teaching on faith and morals, being baptized in the name (singular) of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and then remain in the state of Sanctifying Grace.  I am not going to get into the fine art of semantics as to whether you can call yourself a Catholic even when you do not hold to essential Catholic teaching or if you are in the state of serious sin, because the essential thing is that you do not enjoy the grace from the Communion of Saints, the Sacraments and will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

In the early Church there was an argument as to what a person must believe to be baptized. It was decided at the council of Nicea that someone learning to become a Catholic and be baptized must take an oath of belief first, which we now call the Nicene Creed: “I believe in God, etc.” (Notice the use of “I” instead of “We”) This was a minimum of faith to be baptized and after receiving the grace of baptism, one would be taught the world’s greatest secret, The Mass, and other more complicated doctrines.

To remain a true Catholic one must hold fast to the faith and to the teaching on morals as taught by Christ in the bible. Essentially no one remains a Catholic even if baptized if one does not hold to its teaching on faith and morals and does not have the right to receive the sacraments.  If like some politicians you reject the teaching of the faith and yet continue to receive the sacraments, you bring additional condemnation on yourself. (1 Corinthians 10:21) You cannot freely sin and partake of God’s saving grace and sacraments (1 Corinthians 6:9-13) and sin has no part in God’s Holy Church.

The point in this introduction is to say that many Catholic do not hold to the truths of faith and morals and other condone or remain silent regarding those who violate the truths of the faith.  Saint Paul even condemned those who (although not sinning themselves) condoned or tolerated the sins of others.  (1 Romans 1-32 “also they that consent to them that do them.”)

When you go to confession you say that you are sorry for what you have done wrong and what you have failed to do right.  The sin of neglect to do good when you can do the right thing can be a major sin.  Let us suppose you see someone doing something that could put his life or his soul in serious jeopardy but choose to say to yourself, “That is not my problem. Am I my brother’s keeper?”  Suppose you condone your children’s drinking or drugs and by condoning this, they do not think it a major sin?  Believe me, condoning is a sin.

According to Mother Therese and Padre Pio, the greatest sin in the 20th Century is Abortion.  In fact after a major speech in front of the President of the United States (Clinton) she ended by saying that if there was ever a Nuclear War, it would be caused by Abortion.  There is no excuse for condoning or toleration Abortion because as Padre Pio said, “That’s killing.” and everyone knows it. (Note 1)

Condoning or Tolerating Abortion is a Major Sin and cannot be justified under any condition.

Why then, when 40% of the American registered voters are Catholic, is there even a possibility that a violently pro-abortion candidate be elected president of this great Nation? I have been going from Church to Church in my area and reading Diocesan Papers on the internet to see why Gallop poles show that over 55% of Catholic are going to vote for a violently pro-abortion candidate for president and consistently vote for pro-abortion congressmen and senators.

Why do I have the only car at my Church that has a bumper sticker that says “Vote Pro-Life”?

Why do I have a Pro-Life club in my Parish that never mentions voting and never mentions that abortion is a sin. Their entire focus is on the psychological healing of those who have had abortions and no mention of the sin.

Why does my Diocese have a “Get Out the Vote” drive and even says that we must vote in light of Catholic Teaching but lists a long line of issues but does not mention Abortion.  I went to their web site www.faithfulcitizenship.org but could not find the number one subject, Abortion.

Why do many Catholic Bishops remain silent or even condone artificial birth control, abortion and even homosexual relationships, when these things most assuredly separate people from the Body of Christ, the Church and from salvation?

All other political and socials issues put together do not equal Abortion.  If a Communist – Socialist was running for office but was pro-life and a Federal-Constitutionalist was running against him but was pro-abortion, I would vote for the Communist, because nothing is more important than protecting the life of the holy innocents.

Years ago, one bishop in the United States, ordered all his schools to be integrated at a time when black people were not allowed to mix with white people.  Catholics, Politicians, and even the Police persecuted him, but he stood his ground because moral law trumps expediency.  Where are these brave Bishops today?  I am afraid many think packing their Churches with Illegal Immigrants is more important than the killing of babies.  Condoning killing for money!

Catholic Bishops and Democrats

Unfortunately, the evidence suggests that the Catholic bishops themselves, with a few exceptions, (Note 2) constitute the Secret Weapon of the Democrat Party which functions as the chief advocate and protector of the abortion industry. This conclusion resulted from an examination not of the Catholic bishops' pro-life rhetoric but of their spending. The fact remains that the great bulk of the work and leadership in the cause of Life came from the Catholic laity. In general, the Bishops have done less than nothing. A few examples from the Chicago area serve to illustrate this point.

What the Catholic bishops have done is place the interests of the Democrat Party over the lives of unborn children. They accomplished this by protecting Democrat candidates from defeat at the polls over abortion and other family issues. They enlarged Democrat power by funding organizations and organizers that advanced Democrat political fortunes. The Catholic bishops in collaboration with change agents and community activists, devised a scheme by which devout, church-going Catholics, including serious pro-lifers, mostly Republicans, would fund the agenda and protect the political power of the Democrats.

The Catholic bishops created a funding vehicle known as the Campaign for Human Development, later known as the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). They collect money from the faithful in church the Sunday before Thanksgiving Day in November. The acronym should more properly stand for the Catholic Campaign to Help Democrats.

What makes this funding vehicle extraordinary is that it, in its by-laws, prohibits giving money to organizations that actually feed, clothe or house needy persons. The funds must go to organizations that foster "social change". Not coincidentally such organizations had already come into being, tailor-made, to carry out the mission that the CCHD had specified. These organizations follow a structure and philosophy established by the –

Industrial Area Foundation (IAF), Saul Alinsky

The IAF embodies the beliefs and practices developed by its founder, Saul Alinsky. In the course of time, he trained many organizers who have gone on to successful careers in politics and "social change" organizations. Perhaps the most famous of his proteges is the pro-abortion feminist Hillary Clinton. She actually wrote her senior thesis at Wellsley College on the radical politics of Saul Alinsky. She later became the First Lady when her Democrat husband Bill was elected President of the U.S. and then became the Democrat Senator from the State of New York. Alinsky trained other famous political figures, among them Cesar Chavez, who forced Mexican grape-pickers into his union in California, and Dick Morris, the Clinton's political consultant, who helped them win the White House.

Social agitation, confrontation, and personal attacks characterize Alinsky-style political organizing. It betrays a strong Marxist influence. This philosophy opposes fundamental Christian principles, because it divides persons into antagonistic groups, the "haves" and "have-nots". It follows an ideology of "class struggle", where one side is considered the enemy. The dehumanization of "the enemy" results in certain ethical consequences: persons lose their dignity as children of God and become means to an end: the end justifies the means. As Alinsky wrote, "Ethics are determined by whether one is losing or winning." He also wrote, "He who fears corruption, fears life."

Alinsky advocated and practiced what we now term, "the politics of personal destruction." The Democrats use this most effectively in destroying the reputations of their enemies, prominent political figures like Robert Bork, Clarence Thomas, and most recently, Rush Limbaugh. He wrote it down in his books, "Ridicule is man's most potent weapons" and "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it."

Considering Alinsky's ethics, it should come as no surprise that he actually dedicated one of his books, "Rules for Radicals," to Lucifer. What could be more fitting? Lucifer carried out the ultimate rebellion. He too championed "social change", as he does today. He too rejects God's moral law, as Alinsky rejects the authority of the Catholic Church and the morality that it teaches. Alinsky opposes the very fundamentals for which the Pope and the bishops have always stood.

Whereas the Church teaches a dogmatic theology, Alinsky protests, "I detest and fear dogma." Whereas the Church defends eternal truths, Alinsky insists, "Truth is relative and changing." Whereas the Catholic bishops have publicly declared that abortion goes against God's law, Alinsky proclaims, "I have always believed that birth control and abortion are personal rights."

Alinsky's theory of rebellion has a history. He did not just make this stuff up. It goes back at least as far as the time before the French Revolution, where the socio-sexual revolutionaries sought to overthrow Throne and Altar. They specifically wanted to overthrow the moral order that protected marriage and children. Pat Buchanan pointed out that during, "the French Revolution, the Paris mob used the high altar at Notre Dame Cathedral to canonize the town tramp as their Goddess of Reason."

Their rejection of the moral order was so radical that many of them turned to Satanism as a religion. Good evidence exists that Karl Marx, himself, the founder of the Communist Party, was a Satanist. Karl Marx wrote poems praising Satan.

His own son-in-law, Edward Eveling, gave lectures on, "The Wickeness of God" and himself wrote a poem in praise of Satan. Frederick Engels, Marx's partner in communist revolution, expressed the rebellious spirit thus, (Communism) "abolishes eternal truths, abolishes all religion, and all morality."

A colleague of Marx was a German poet, Heinrich Heine, who spoke well of Alinsky's role model, Lucifer, saying, "I called the Devil and he came." Marx's follower Mikhail Bakunin, another rebel, expressed similar sentiments, "Satan is the eternal rebel, the first freethinker and emancipator of worlds." Bakunin also wrote, "In the revolution we will have to awaken the Devil in the people, to stir up their basest passions."

A fellow socialist Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, also worshipped Satan and praised him, writing, "God is stupidity and cowardice...God is evil." And yet, amazingly, Catholic bishops bragged about their friendship with Saul Alinsky.

For thirty years the Bishops have been paying lip-service to the right to life, while putting Catholic money into Alinsky-style organizations like the IAF, using CCHD as a funding scheme. They gave IAF itself a million dollars. They gave a million to ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) where Hillary Clinton learned her trade. Not too long ago, Joseph Cardinal Bernardin gave a million to fund the Chicago Metropolitan Sponsors (CMS) (while shutting down parochial schools) so that it could hire IAF to organize and train persons to staff what eventually became known as United Power for Action and Justice (UPAJ). When the Cardinal was criticized for giving so much Catholic money to this group, he answered that the money did not really belonging to the Church. Someone gave it to him for the purpose of funding CMS. No one in authority has yet pointed out that donating money in such a manner constitutes the essence of money-laundering.

This child of CMS, UPAJ, is an effort to induce Lutheran, Baptist, Episcopalian, Jewish and Moslem Republicans living in Chicago suburbs to funnel money, just as the Catholics do, into the organizing projects of the Democrat Party. It is of course no coincidence that the traditional allies (Perhaps "agencies" is a better word.) of the Democrat Party, the labor unions, energetically sponsoredthe CMS. These include the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) and the Illinois Education Association (IEA).

AFSCME is one of the organizers of a march on Washington in 2004 in defense of abortion "rights." Other organizers are NARAL, NOW, and Planned Parenthood Federation of America.(1)

The IEA is affiliated with the National Education Association, a reliable organ of the Democrat Party and an aggressive proponent of abortion, feminism, homosexuality and other evils long denounced by Catholic tradition.

In California, Catholic Charities and CCHD-funded IAF organizations stole the election of Republican Congressman Robert Dornan, by means of documented immigration and election fraud. Hundreds of invalidly naturalized persons were driven from getting their citizenship papers directly to the polling places.

Catholic money helped steal an election away from a devout Catholic and patriotic man, with a perfect voting record on the right to life and other moral issues, on behalf of a woman with an anti-life and anti-family Democrat agenda, Loretta Sanchez, a Clintonite radical with campaign support from the usual allies of the Democrat Party: the NOW, NARAL (National Abortion Rights Action League), the homosexual advocacy group Human Rights Campaign and other such groups.

The Illinois Leader, an internet newspaper (www.illinoisleader.com) found that 75% of the Catholic priests in the Chicago Archdiocese have officially registered as Democrats. Thus they ally themselves with the party of "social change", the party of permanent revolution, the party of abortionists, homosexuals, pornographers, adulterers, fornicators and perjurers.

According to Block, "The Catholic members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, of which there are well over a hundred, cast more votes in favor of abortion than not. In fact, Catholic politicians - whose Church teaches the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception - have demonstrated a worse voting record on life issues than their Presbyterian and Methodist counterparts." (1)

Francis Cardinal George recently called for changes in U.S. immigration policy that dovetail with Democrat political objectives and echo the work of IAF operatives in defeating the election of Bob Dornan in California. These include the legalization of undocumented residents and the discharge of the U.S. "blockade" at our borders.

George showed how he and other Catholic bishops are working to advance the Democrat Party. Immigrants vote for Democrats not Republicans. Liberalization of immigration laws sits high on the Democrat agenda.

George also failed to stop the pro-abortion candidate for the Democrat Party's Presidential nomination Al Sharpton from speaking under Archdiocesan auspices at St. Sabina's parish, where the Fr. Michael Pfleger serves as Pastor.

Many of the Chicago area priests hold membership in another Alinsky-inspired organization, Call to Action. It not only follows the organizational principles Alinsky developed but also embraces his revolutionary world view, taking the Democrat ideology of moral revisionism into the very heart of the Catholic Church.

Do the Catholic bishops oppose CTA or prohibit it in any way from operating in their dioceses? Not at all. CTA has complete freedom to organize and promote its agenda of dissent which seeks to destroy the papacy and the Church hierarchy, to win acceptance for divorce, abortion, contraception, homosexuality, priestesses, liturgical abuses, a married clergy, and the abolition of property rights. Bishops have actually appointed CTA dissenters as pastors in their parishes.

Catholic bishops gave a million dollars to organizations whose world view excludes everything Catholic, to ACORN, to IAF, to CMF but not a cent to struggling Catholic operations like Joe Schiedler's Pro-life Action League or Conrad Wojnar's Womens' Center. They withhold support to the cause of life and the family because that would undermine Democrat power and the revolutionary ideology which drives it.

Stephanie Block put it best, "This year, when the collection plate comes around, remember that you can sabotage Church teaching with a flick of your wrist. You can shoot it down by paying for organizations to fight for health clinics that dispense contraceptives and make abortion referrals. You can shoot it down by paying for organizing that supports pro-abortion politicians. You can shoot it down by paying for organizing that trains Catholics to dissent. Just don't be surprised by the blood on your hands."

Cardinal Bernardin

By Greg Szymanski, JD, May 5, 2008 (Includes my own investigation)

One of the most powerful Vatican Cardinals after Vatican II, working his Satanic black magic, was Cardinal Bernardin, former General Secretary of the US Conference of “Catholic” Bishops.

Involved in Satanic rituals, Freemasonry and homosexuality, Bernardin’s commitment to ecumenism led to the formation of the Council of Religious Leaders of Metropolitan Chicago in 1985. He was elected the first president.

For his Satanic service, he was awarded the Medal of Freedom by Bill Clinton and actually talked to Clinton the day before he died.

Bernardin died on November 14, and the funeral “Mass” for Bernardin was celebrated by the apostate“Cardinal” Roger Mahony of Los Angeles. The Chicago Windy City Gay Men’s Chorus provided the music for Bernardin’s funeral. According to the November 1997 Washington Blade, a homosexual newspaper, the “cardinal” himself had prearranged for the “Windy City Gay Chorus” to sing at his wake. The Gay Chorus had a sign outside the cathedral prominently displaying its name.

Freemasons in full regalia were shown in newspapers as they carried out an “honor guard” role and as they stood by the body of Bernardin. Bernardin was also a posthumous recipient of the Fraternal Order of Masons’ “Masonic Order of Galilei Award.” This award was also given to
the Dalai Lama and to Bill Clinton. The Masons said that the award was given to Bernardin because he was “a man who removed barriers and built bridges of understanding and tolerance.”

Howard Graff, the Masonic leader of Illinois, had petitioned the Grand Orient Lodge for permission to bestowthe award on Bernardin months before he died. Before he died, Bernardin had already agreed to accept the award as a sign of his “commitment to dialogue.” “Cardinal” Joseph Bernardin was recognized by many as the most influential Bishop in America at his time.

Joseph Bernardin became the country’s youngest bishop. In 1968 he began a four year term
as General Secretary of the US Conference of “Catholic” Bishops.  On November 21, 1972 Bernardin was appointed “Archbishop” of Cincinnati, Ohio.  In 1975 and 1976 Bernardin initiated two failed attempts to introduce Communion in the hand. Bernardin also argued for the acceptance of altar girls.

On November 14, 1987 the NCCB released a document called The Many Faces of AIDS. Bernardin, who was one of four bishops who designed the document, said he was particularly pleased with this document. The document approves educational materials which promote
condom use as a prophylactic for the prevention of HIV infection.7 It also approved other horrible things.  This document on the prevention of AIDS “pushed for the Catholic Church
to allow teaching the use of condoms as a prevention of future transmission of the disease.”

Father Charles Fiore, who was very familiar with Bernardin’s activities, described him as “an evil man and a flaming homosexual.”

Bernardin was responsible for the appointment of pro-homosexual “bishops,” such as Detroit Auxiliary Tom Gumbleton, Ken Untener of Saginaw, MI (a man who showed pornographic films to his seminarians), Joseph Imesch of Joliet, IL, and the homosexual “bishop” Daniel Ryan of Illinois (who also had to undergo treatment for alcoholism). Bernardin was also influential in the appointment of Rembert Weakland as “Archbishop” of Milwaukee, WI. Weakland was a homosexual who paid $450,000 to his former boyfriend Paul Marcoux to keep
his homosexual lifestyle a secret.

A woman using the pseudonym Agnes for her own protection claims that she was raped by Cardinal Bernardin. She has testified to this in a sworn deposition, in accounts to investigators, in affidavits submitted in support of others’ cases against Bernardin, in phone calls and letters to “Church” officials, and in sworn affidavits with Vatican officials. Agnes claims that when she was eleven years old – which was several decades ago – Joseph Bernardin raped her as part of a satanic ritual which Bishop John J. Russell of Charleston, South Carolina also took part in.

Agnes was brought to the ritual by an abusive father who was a member of a satanic cult. Agnes said that her dad offered her to the cult as part of a satanic sacrifice. During this ceremony, a Catholic Eucharist was defiled and Agnes’ pet dog Flinnie was tortured. In the fall of 1992, Agnes passed a polygraph (lie detector) test regarding the truthfulness of these
events. She now has passed several polygraph tests. Several years ago I was able to speak to Fr. Charles Fiore, (one of Malachi Martin’s best friends) shortly before he died. Fr. Fiore told me that in interviewing and getting to know Agnes she affirmed the whole story of what had
happened to her as an eleven year old. Fr. Fiore also found her to be credible in his opinion. She also told her story to Malachi Martin in the early 1990’s, who was recommended to her as a person who could get her information to the Vatican. Malachi Martin incorporated her story into his book Windswept House.

Though the rape of Agnes by Bernardin took place in 1957, Martin incorporated the rape into his book’s description of the satanic enthronement of the Vatican on June 29, 1963. Martin said that the satanists (which included many who claimed to be high ranking members of the Catholic Church) prayed and sacrificed satanically to change the Catholic Church into “The Universal Church of Man.”

During this satanic ceremony, the high priest said to the participants: “Do you each and all now solemnly swear that your administration of office will be bent to fulfill the aims of the Universal Church of Man?” They responded: “We do so solemnly swear.”

Joseph Bernardin is said to have engaged in at least two instances of homosexual abuse of young men. The first was a former seminarian who received a cash payment to keep quiet.

The second was a former seminarian named Steven Cook, who filed a ten million dollar lawsuit in November of 1993 against the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Cook later dropped his lawsuit after apparently receiving a payment from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Cook accused Fr. Ellis Harsham and “Cardinal” Bernardin (then in Cincinnati) of sexual acts against him while he was staying at St. Gregory Seminary in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Cook said that he was told many times that homosexual acts with priests were fine. Fr. Harsham told Cook that homosexual acts were a sign of a special friendship. Cook claimed that Harsham gave him alcohol and marijuana, and exposed him to pornography. Harsham then abused him and would take him to Bernardin’s living quarters for sex.

Bernardin was the “Archbishop” of Cincinnati at the time. Cook, speaking about Bernardin, told CNN in an interview: “We drank some Pepsis. I was given some very nice gifts, and then I was led into his bedroom and he performed anal sex on me.”  Cook’s lawsuit also accused the
Archdiocese of Cincinnati of misrepresenting to Cook’s parents the reason for Cook’s many visits to the seminary and to Bernardin’s private quarters. Although the media claims that Cook retracted his accusation against Bernardin, Cook never retracted his accusation against Bernardin. Cook apparently received a huge payout from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati in the seven-figure range as part of the settlement out of court.

During the discovery phase of Cook’s lawsuit against the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, attorney Stephen Rubino received a letter from Father Daniel Conlon, the Chancellor of the Cincinnati Archdiocese, stating that Harsham was disciplined previously for an act of sexual misconduct that involved a seminarian.

Harsham was placed on administrative leave and, when the lawsuit was over, he left the priesthood on his own.  Stephen Cook died of AIDS in September of 1995. The estate of the previously penniless Cook, estimated in the range of 3 million, was divided between his mother, his sister, and his boyfriend.

Bernardin was also reported to have participated in homosexual and occult activities at Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary in Winona, MN. This information was discovered through an official investigation by a group of laypeople from Illinois. Among the bishops who were involved in the abuse of seminarians were Bishops Joseph Bernardin, John Roach, and
Robert Brom.

At least two of the seminarians who were abused sued, and one said that the homosexual abuse was connected to satanic and occult rituals.  Frank Pellegrini was the organist and choir director for All Saints-St. Anthony of Padua Church in Chicago.

On May 30, 1984 he was found brutally murdered at his apartment. His hands were found to be tied with barbed wire, and he had been stabbed more than twenty times. Apparently, there was no sign of a forced entry. The officials from the police department believed that the murder
was committed by a homosexual or a woman.

According to police who were present at the crime scene, shortly after Pellegrini’s body was discovered, Cardinal Bernardin arrived at the murdered man’s home to quiz the officers about the killing. The cardinal told police that he did not know the murdered man. This raises the
obvious question of how he learned of the killing so quickly, and of what special interest Pellegrini was to him since he did not know the victim.

According to information obtained by Pellegrini’s girlfriend, Pellegrini had been in a homosexual relationship with a priest from Chicago. He had also been involved in a secret priestly “boys club” which included occult activities and sexual abuse of young boys from low income ethnic families from Chicago.

Pellegrini’s girlfriend explained to the police that Pellegrini wanted to get out of the club. She went on to say that he was planning a meeting with Chancery (Chicago diocesan) officials to talk about this matter shortly before his murder, but she never knew if he actually had
met with them.

Bernardin’s Ecumenical and Interreligious Activities with Protestants “Cardinal” Bernardin’s commitment to ecumenism led to the formation of the Council of Religious Leaders of Metropolitan Chicago in 1985. He was elected the first president. As a result of this Council, Chicago “Catholics” now have official covenants with both the Episcopal Diocese and the Metropolitan Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. While in Chicago, Bernardin was friends with a Lutheran minister who regularly entertained him at his home.

While in Cincinnati, Bernardin won the support of liberal clergy by helping to organize the 1976 Call to Action (CTA)conference.  The delegates of CTA attacked Catholic teachings regarding birth control, celibacy and women priests. Bernardin also allowed CTA to operate on “Catholic” Church property. He even spoke out against “Bishop” Bruskewitz of Lincoln, Nebraska for excommunicating CTA members in his own diocese.

I include the above to show why many Catholic Bishops are pro-abortion or silent about it.

Saint Pius X

In a decree, entitled Lamentabili sane exitu[3] (or "A Lamentable Departure Indeed"), issued 3 July 1907, Pius X formally condemned sixty-five modernist or relativist propositions concerning the nature of the Church, revelation, biblical exegesis, the sacraments, and the divinity of Christ. This was followed by the encyclical Pascendi Dominici Gregis (or "Feeding the Lord's Flock"), which characterized Modernism as the "synthesis of all heresies." Following these, Pius X ordered that all clerics take the Sacrorum antistitum, an oath against Modernism. He also encouraged the formation and efforts of Sodalitium Pianum (or League of Pius V), an anti-Modernist network of informants.

Sworn Oath of Bishops, Priests and Teachers
September 1, 1910.

To be sworn to by all clergy, pastors, confessors, preachers, religious superiors, and professors in philosophical-theological seminaries.

I N. firmly embrace and accept each and every definition that has been set forth and declared by the unerring teaching authority of the Church,I believe with equally firm faith that the Church, the guardian and teacher of the revealed word, was personally instituted by the real and historical Christ when he lived among us, and that the Church was built upon Peter, the prince of the apostolic hierarchy, and his successors for the duration of time.  Therefore, I entirely reject the heretical' misrepresentation that dogmas evolve and change from one meaning to another different from the one which the Church held previously.I hold with certainty and sincerely confess that faith is not a blind sentiment of religion welling up from the depths of the subconscious under the impulse of the heart and the motion of a will trained to morality; but faith is a genuine assent of the intellect to truth received by hearing from an external source.  I reject that method of judging and interpreting Sacred Scripture which, departing from the tradition of the Church, the analogy of faith, and the norms of the Apostolic See, embraces the misrepresentations of the rationalists and with no prudence or restraint adopts textual criticism as the one and supreme norm.

A Catholic Case Against Barack

by Pat Buchanan

For not only is Barack the most pro-abortion member of the Senate, with his straight A+ report card from the National Abortion Rights Action League and Planned Parenthood. He supports the late-term procedure known as partial-birth abortion, where the baby's skull is stabbed with scissors in the birth canal and the brains are sucked out to end its life swiftly and ease passage of the corpse into the pan.

Yet, when Congress was voting to ban this terrible form of death for a mature fetus, Michelle Obama was signing fundraising letters pledging that, if elected, Barack would be "tireless" in keeping legal this "legitimate medical procedure."

And Barack did not let the militants down. When the Supreme Court upheld the congressional ban on this barbaric procedure, Barack denounced the court for denying "equal rights for women."

Thrice in the Illinois legislature, Obama helped block a bill that was designed solely to protect the life of infants already born, and outside the womb, who had miraculously survived the attempt to kill them during an abortion. Thrice, Obama voted to let doctors and nurses allow these tiny human beings die of neglect and be tossed out with the medical waste.

When a bill almost identical to the one Barack fought in Illinois, the Born Alive Infants Protection Act, came to the floor of the U.S. Senate in 2001, the vote was 98 to 0 in favor. Barbara Boxer, the most pro-abortion member of the Senate before Barack came, spoke out on its behalf:

Obama says he opposed the Born Alive Infants Protection Act because he feared it might imperil Roe v. Wade. But if Roe v. Wade did allow infanticide or murder, which is what letting a tiny baby die of neglect or killing it outright amounts to, why would he not want that court decision reviewed and amended to outlaw infanticide?

In 2007, Barack pledged that, in his first act as president, he will sign the Freedom of Choice Act, which would cancel every federal, state or local regulation or restriction on abortion. The National Organization for Women says it would abolish all restrictions on government funding of abortion.
For if, as Catholics believe, abortion is the killing of an unborn child, and participation in an abortion entails automatic excommunication, how can a good Catholic support a candidate who will appoint justices to make Roe v. Wade eternal and eliminate all restrictions on a practice Catholics legislators have fought for three decades to curtail?

Notes:

1. St. Padre Pio 1905 a seminarian, Blessed Mother appeared and, turning to me, said, “I am entrusting this unborn child to your care and protection.  Although she will become a precious jewel, right now she has no form.  Shape and polish her.  Make her as brilliant as you can, because one day I would like to adorn myself with her.”

Furthermore, she called this girl about to be born a child; she was not a lump of flesh or a blob of tissue, whose life could be legally snuffed out in today’s world by a heinous partial birth abortion procedure.

Giovanna Rizzani. who thought of you before you were born!

Padre Pio said, “Don’t you know he could have been a good priest, a bishop, even a cardinal?” The poor woman began to cry, exclaiming that she did not know abortion was a sin.  The saint countered with, “What do you mean, you didn’t know that this was a sin? That’s killing!it’s a sin, a great sin.”

Padre Pio believed 8 children was an ideal family size

2.  Archbishop Raymond Burke of St Louis, Missouri, Archbishop Burke was recently appointed to a top Vatican post, the Apostolic Signatura.

'Often, indeed, incautious rulers, being afraid of losing human favour, fear to speak freely of what is right, and, in the words of the truth, do not exercise the zeal of shepherds caring for the flock. --- Foster always the respect for all human life from the moment of its inception to the moment of natural death, especially the life of our unborn brothers and sisters. --- Safeguard the integrity of the marital union and of human procreation.
